Alpha Test Status
Where the Flying Circus revival stands right now, and what to put through its paces. This page is updated as features land.
Updated 2026-07-02
✅ Confirmed working
- Website account — register (callsign + email + password), log in, view profile / leaderboard / medals.
- Client download — gated download of the patched client from the Get Client page (integrity-checked).
- Game login — email or callsign + password, authenticated against the site database. Wrong password or unknown account is rejected.
- Arena entry — country select, plane select, Ready Room.
- FLY → cockpit — flight transition works; cockpit renders.
- Multiplayer visibility — two players see each other, planes render as the correct models, real-time position relayed and smoothed.
- Team counter — ALLIES / CENTRAL counts read correctly.
🧪 Ready to test — please confirm in live play
- Combat — shooting an enemy → damage builds up → smoke around half → kill. (Damage model + kill/stat/medal pipeline are in and unit-tested; not yet confirmed with two live players trading fire. Prime thing to test.)
- Stats & leaderboard — kills, deaths and streaks recording to the database and appearing on the website.
- Medals — awarded at kill-streak thresholds: 5 = Croix de Guerre / Iron Cross 2nd, 10 = DFC / Iron Cross 1st, 25 = Victoria Cross / Blue Max, 50 = Order of Merit.
- Arena console text — join / kill / medal / battle lines in the in-game message console. (May or may not display yet — the delivery message is unconfirmed.)
❌ Known gaps — not bugs (yet)
- Callsign display — your own callsign shows a placeholder symbol (top-center), and other players' names don't appear over their planes with names turned on. Known open item; being worked on.
Logging in — the one gotcha
In the game's Account field, type your callsign
padded to 16 characters with underscores
(for example Vaska___________). Log in here first and this
page shows your exact string.
The 1999 client only sends the password if the Account field is exactly 16 characters, so the underscore padding is required. Password is your website password. The in-game Callsign screen accepts anything — the server always uses your registered callsign.
