John — Telecommunications Technologist.
Born and raised in North Dakota.
Joined U. S. Marines in 1968, fought in Vietnam in 1969 with 3rd Marine Division in the Con Thien region on the DMZ.
Married in 1975, 4 children, haven't strangled any of them so far :)
Moved to Canada in 1977, lived there until 1997.
In 1993 I worked in Croatia, and Bosnia Herzegovina for the United Nations Protection Forces, installing VSAT systems, and PBX's in the Battalion HQ's. (real War sux)
Worked in Africa (Ghana and Uganda), Asia (Vietnam, Japan and Okinawa), Europe (UK and former Yugoslavia), North America; Canada and the Canadian High Arctic (almost to N Magnetic Pole), Alaska, California, North Carolina, and now Texas.
Dedication
To my devoted wife of 23 years Doreen:
She has born my children and my sorrows, carried me when otherwise I would have fallen.
Without her I would be lost, as it is she who lucidly lights my way.
She who: asks nothing, endures all, suffers silently,
and writes my dedications :)
Interests: Computer Games (Flight Sims and Tomb Raider). (sigh, Laura makes me wish I were 22 again but I digress)
Coach Junior Varsity Hockey.
Hunting (anything with fur or feathers that is legal).
